Fruit Fly

Hey.  

There is this fruit fly that likes to fly around my desk...this is very odd by the way, just FYI...

So when I first saw the fly, I tried to kill it several times. Well, you can only kill a fly once, but I attempted to squish him several times. Anyway, I ended up catching him and I guess I was in a cruel mood because I decided to take a piece of tape and stick him to it. I guess I was going to squish him in the tape or something, but I really don't remember because this was weeks ago. Anyway, at the last minute I decided that I was being way too cruel, so I carefully removed him from the tape and blew him off into the air.

Well, I figured he was around my desk because I had a banana that he liked. So I got rid of the banana.  Well ever since then, my cube has been fruit free, but every day a little fruit fly comes to visit me. He doesn't bother me like he did that first day by flying around my head and into my glasses. Now he just flies by my monitor once or twice and then leaves. Just to say "hi." And then nothing for the rest of the day. I guess this doesn't happen EVERY day, but seriously almost every day.

I know that the average life span of a fruit fly is only a day or three or something like that, but either this is one very special fly that really likes me now, or he passed the word on about me to his brethren.

Either way, I think karma came into play there and it was worth it. I think I'm going to bring in a banana tomorrow, for thanks.
